Renee Aumock

Renee Courier Aumock was born and raised in Bay County. She is dedicated to making this community a better place for her children while enhancing the lives of all people who live here. Prior to becoming a career navigator with the Bay Arenac ISD, Renee built and directed the Great Lakes Bay College and Career Resource Center where she began her work in post-secondary planning. Being a first-generation student herself (high school and college), Renee personally understands the importance of college and career planning assistance. Her goal is to ensure every student and adult knows they can gain higher education and employment in any field they enjoy and are gifted to work. As a non-traditional student, Renee attained her bachelors degree with a major in Business Administration with a minor in Health Information Management. She continued to earn a master's degree in Strategic Management. Renee operates in her passion for helping people through her current role of career navigator. Partnering with school districts, she assists students in assessing their skills and talents to help match them with potential majors and careers. It is essential for all students to know they need post-secondary education and know their choices are open to skilled trades, certificates, and degrees.
