Doug is currently the Director of Technology & Postsecondary Preparation at BAISD. He was born and raised in Au Gres, MI. In January of 2012, he was hired as Saginaw Township Community School’s Director of Learning, Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment and then became their Superintendent a short time later in July of 2012. He then left his position after six years as the STCS Superintendent to join BAISD in 2018. Doug had previously served 10 years in the Essexville-Hampton Public School District starting as the Principal of Garber High School and then becoming the Assistant Superintendent. Prior to that, he spent 12 years with Pinconning Area Schools where he had a successful teaching and coaching career before becoming the lead principal at the secondary level and district technology coordinator.

Doug completed a Master of Education degree in Administration at Saginaw Valley State University in 2005, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology from Central Michigan University in 1990, and attended Delta College from 1986 through 1988 prior to transferring to CMU.
